Privacy Policy

Overview

LawnBook™ is built on a simple principle: your business data is yours. Srisan Labs designed LawnBook to be offline-first and private by default. Your clients, jobs, invoices, expenses, routes, photos, and every other record you create in the app stay on your device. We do not operate cloud servers for your business data. We do not share anything about you with third parties. We do not sell data to anyone. We do not display ads.

To improve the app, we do collect a small amount of anonymous product telemetry — event names like "the user opened the app" or "the user logged their first job" — so we can see which features are being used and where people get stuck. This telemetry never includes any of your business data. See the "Anonymous Product Analytics" section below for the full list.

This Privacy Policy explains exactly what is and isn't collected.

Data We Do Not Collect

LawnBook does not collect or have access to:

• Your client names, addresses, or contact information
• Your invoices, estimates, or financial records
• Your job schedules, routes, or service history
• Your expense records, receipts, or tax data
• Your location or GPS data
• Photos you take within the app
• Voice recordings or transcriptions from voice entry
• Any AI-generated content or prompts

All of the above data is created and stored exclusively on your device. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it yourself.

Offline-First Architecture

LawnBook is designed to work completely without an internet connection. Every feature — scheduling, invoicing, expense tracking, route optimization, AI tools — operates locally on your device. No internet connection is required to use any part of the app.

When you are offline, your data remains fully accessible and functional. There is no data synchronization happening in the background with our servers because we do not have servers for your data.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

LawnBook offers optional iCloud backup and sync via Apple's CloudKit framework. This is entirely optional and is disabled by default on new installs.

If you enable iCloud sync:

• Your data is synced through Apple's infrastructure, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
• Srisan Labs cannot access your iCloud data — Apple's end-to-end encryption applies
• Sync only occurs between your own Apple devices signed into the same Apple ID
• You can disable or delete iCloud data at any time from your device's iCloud settings

AI Features

LawnBook includes AI-powered features including voice job entry, receipt scanning, lawn analysis, seasonal planning, and the AI lawn assistant. All of these features run on-device using Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks (Core ML, Vision, Speech).

No data from AI features is transmitted to Srisan Labs or any third-party AI provider. Your prompts, photos, and voice recordings are processed entirely on your device and discarded when no longer needed.

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

LawnBook uses Firebase Crashlytics, a service by Google, to receive anonymous crash reports when the app unexpectedly crashes. This helps us identify and fix bugs.

Crashlytics collects:

• Crash stack traces and error messages
• Device model and iOS version
• App version and build number
• A randomly generated installation identifier (not tied to your Apple ID)

Crashlytics does not collect your name, email, Apple ID, or any business data from the app. Crash reports are anonymized and cannot be linked back to you personally. You can opt out of crash reporting in LawnBook's Settings under Privacy.

No Advertising

LawnBook does not display advertisements and does not use advertising SDKs or networks. We do not share any data with advertising platforms. LawnBook is supported entirely by direct subscription revenue from users.

Anonymous Product Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

LawnBook uses Firebase Analytics, a service by Google, to collect a small number of anonymous product events that help us understand how the app is used and where users get stuck. This allows us to prioritize improvements and catch regressions after releases.

We deliberately keep the set of events small and metadata-only. LawnBook transmits only the following:

• App lifecycle events: first app launch, screen views, session start
• Activation milestones: anonymous counts such as "first client created", "first job logged", "first invoice sent" — just the event name, never the client name, job title, or invoice contents
• Trial and subscription state changes: "trial started", "trial offer accepted/declined", "subscription restored" — never your Apple ID, email, or payment information
• Modal interactions: which in-app prompts you saw and whether you dismissed or accepted them
• Device metadata: device model, iOS version, app version, language, country code, and a randomly generated anonymous installation identifier that is not tied to your Apple ID, email, or any personal information

What we explicitly do NOT send to Firebase Analytics:

• Your clients' names, contact information, addresses, or any other client details
• Your invoices, invoice amounts, payment amounts, revenue, or expense records
• Your job titles, descriptions, schedules, notes, or service history
• Your photos, voice recordings, AI prompts, or AI-generated content
• Your location or GPS data
• Your name, email, phone number, Apple ID, or any contact information about you
• The contents of any record you create inside the app

All analytics events are buffered locally on your device and flushed to Firebase in the background when your device is online. You can opt out of analytics at any time from LawnBook's Settings under Privacy. Opting out stops all analytics event transmission immediately.

Subscriptions and Payments

All subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Srisan Labs never sees or stores your payment card information. Subscription management, billing, and receipts are handled by Apple and governed by Apple's Terms of Service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control of retention and deletion. Deleting LawnBook from your device removes all locally stored data. If you have enabled iCloud sync, you can delete that data separately from your device's iCloud settings.

Anonymized crash reports retained by Firebase Crashlytics are subject to Google's data retention policies. We do not control the retention period for crash data.

Children's Privacy

LawnBook is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and may notify you within the app. Continued use of LawnBook after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
